Zack has grown up so much! I can't believe how old he is already!
Oh just yesterday..... LOL!
I'll let him introduce himself now.
I was born at Parkview North Hospital on December 16, 2003 at 9:04 P.M. I weighed 7 pounds 11 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long. I have beautiful blue eyes and blond hair. My head and chest measured 14 1/4. Daddy said I looked just like him when he was little!

24 Months...
Wednesday November 16th I turned 23 months! I just can’t believe how time seems to just fly by us! Mommy weighed me this morning and I weigh 27 lbs. still and am 32½ inches tall! Mommy says I am growing up much too quickly!
Sunday November 20th I used the potty again! This time I got a big marble since I did something special in the potty. Mommy saws its not polite to talk about it so I won’t go into detail. Just know they sure seemed pleased about what I did. LOL!
Wednesday November 23rd I used the potty again! Mommy says she’s so proud because at least it is becoming more regular that I actually use it. LOL!
Thursday November 24th we went to Aunt Tara and Uncle Kevin’s for Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful time. We had to leave early because my Grandma Karst and Uncle Gabe and Uncle Eric were coming into town. They are going to stay with us even! With cousin Lizzie!
Saturday November 26th we went to Grandpa Archie and Grandma Mary’s for the Miller get together. We had a good time. After we got home, I went roller-skating for the very first time! I was having so much fun I didn’t want to leave! Mommy & Daddy said they’d take me back again soon! I had a good time with Uncle Eric, Uncle Chris, Uncle Gabe, cousin Lizzie and Grandma Sue!
Sunday November 27th Uncle Gabe and Uncle Eric had to leave to go home but Grandma Sue stayed with us! We had a blast together!
Tuesday November 29th Uncle Gabe came back with Grandpa Ron! They stayed the night and had to head back. I'll sure miss them!
23 Months...
Sunday October 16th I turned 22 months! Wow! How time seems to fly by! Mommy weighed me this morning and I weigh 27 lbs. I am still 32 inches tall!
Saturday October 22nd was my first outdoor fall party. Okay that I remember. LOL! I got to ride on a hayride even! I thought it was great! And after the ride Jason let me sit up in the big John Deere tractor with Daddy! I was having so much fun I threw a fit when it was time to get out!! I wanted to stay up there!
Thursday October 27th Mommy & I stayed the night with Uncle Eric. He had something called Lasik surgery done but I was excited to have my first trip away with Mommy. Mommy kept telling me what a big boy I was being!
22 Months...
Friday September 16th I turned 21 months!! Can you believe it?
Tuesday September 20th I got my first haircut! I loved it! Mommy had just cut Daddy’s hair and I was so eager to have mine done next!
Thursday September 22nd I said “Birdie!” I was standing at the window screaming it even. LOL!
Sunday September 25th Mommy finally remembered to weigh me. I am 25½ lbs. and 32 inches tall! Mommy says I’m growing like a weed!
Friday September 30th I used the potty again! Mommy started giving me marbles to put into a jar for each time I used the potty! I think it’s so neat to drop that marble in!
Sunday October 2nd we were all watching TV. Mommy was trying to get Daddy’s attention so she yelled “Jon!” I yelled “Jon!” right after her. Mommy was so shocked I thought she was going to fall over!
21 Months...
Tuesday August 16th I turned 20 months! Can you believe it? We can’t! I weigh 27 lbs. also! Such a big, big guy I am!
Thursday September 1st Mommy & Daddy switched my crib to a daybed. They say it’s my Big Boy Bed. I slept in it all night! I love it! I especially love that I can get myself up in the mornings and play until Mommy discovers me. LOL!
Friday September 2nd I did it again! I used the potty again!
Friday September 9th was Mommy & Daddy’s 5th Anniversary! We went and visited the Everlys’. They said they wanted to be able to share in Wes’ birthday also. We had a great time! And we got to see Lillie and Chris!
20 Months...
Saturday July 16th Mommy weighed me this morning! I weigh 26½ lbs! And I’m 31½ inches tall! I am such a big boy!
Sunday July 17th Mommy, Daddy & I went to the Hawk Reunion. I got to see all kinds of Aunts, Uncles, and cousins as well as my Grandma & Grandpa. But most importantly I got to see Great-Grandma!
Thursday July 28th was a big day for us!! I was sitting and watching TV with Daddy while Mommy was balancing her checkbook. I climbed down off the couch and ran into the bathroom. Mommy heard me in there lifting the toilet lid so she ran in. She asked me if I needed to use the potty. I tried to take my shirt off so Mommy stripped me. I sat down on my potty… And used it!!!! They were so proud of me!! They were clapping and telling me what a big boy I was.
Tuesday August 9th Mommy got gutsy. She let me feed myself my oatmeal. She said I did wonderfully! Also that she had never thought to let me try before now. LOL!
Saturday August 13th we went and saw Uncle Alex and Aunt Mary get married. I most especially liked the food afterwards! LOL!
19 Months...
Friday June 17th I pointed to a baby picture of myself and said “bebe.” Mommy says it’s close enough. Heehee! Then she told me it was pronounced baby. Geez, I thought I was doing good. Heehee!
Tuesday June 21st was another rough day for me!! My 13th and 14th teeth popped through. Mommy said they were my eyeteeth. Boy, did that confuse me. Eyeteeth? I know where my eyes are and they aren’t teeth!
Wednesday June 22nd Mommy finally remembered to weigh me. I’d been carrying the scale to her for weeks but she said I needed to be in only a diaper to be weighed. Heehee! I like the way she thinks! I weigh 25-1/2 lbs. Mommy says I’m outgrowing myself! Heehee!
Sunday June 26th Mommy had to get Daddy’s help to see how tall I was. I wouldn’t hold still otherwise. Heehee! I’m all boy! I am 31-1/2 inches tall now! Woohoo! I am growing up!
Tuesday June 29th my 15th & 16th teeth popped through. Mommy said they were my other eyeteeth. I still haven’t figured out what that means.
My favorite pastime is riding on the 4-wheeler. It is such a wonderful treat!! Mommy & Daddy fight over who gets to take me for rides now. Heehee! I don’t care as long as I get my ride! I’m climbing on everything also! Mommy & Daddy laugh because I love to “show the guns!” I love showing off my muscles!
18 Months...
Tuesday May 17th Mommy weighed me this morning! I weigh 25 lbs. still. I am still 30 inches tall also.
Tuesday May 31st I climbed into Bobbi’s bed! I was so proud but Mommy made me get out! Later that night I climbed onto a kitchen chair and sat at the table with Daddy! They couldn’t believe that I could do it! Boy, do I have a lot to teach them yet!
Thursday June 9th Mommy & I went to visit her friend Carrie & Baby Christopher. I wasn’t too sure about him but I didn’t want the nurses to take him anywhere. I thought Mommy was forgetting him when we left too. I kept pointing at him like “come on Mom aren’t you going to take him?”
Friday June 10th my Aunt Susie & Uncle Kevin got married. I got to meet all kinds of new people! I loved running up and down the driveway giving Mommy a heart attack. I also loved going in & out of the house. I especially loved climbing the stairs!! Mommy says I made her earn her keep. I don’t know what that meant but it made Daddy laugh.
Thursday June 16th I turned 18 months old!! Mommy said she wanted to cry! That her baby is growing up. I just giggled at her silliness!
17 Months...
Monday April 18th my 11th tooth popped through!
Friday April 22nd Mommy finally remembered she needed to weigh me this month! Silly Mommy! I weigh 25 lbs. now! I am still 30 inches tall though. I also tried to ride my little John Deere tractor and wagon that makes noise. . Mommy says I’m much too big for it though. She says it’s only a little toy. She said that I should only push it. Mommy wasn’t helping because she kept laughing at me doing it!
Saturday April 23rd my 12th tooth popped through! I’m getting quite a mouthful now!
Monday April 25th I said “Boom” and “Bomb.” It took me a little while but they finally figured out I was trying to say Bob for my Cabbage Patch Doll.
Monday May 16th I turned 17 months old!
16 Months...
Sunday March 27th was Easter!! The Easter Bunny left me a trail of eggs all the way from my room to my basket!!
Monday March 28th my 10th tooth popped through!
Tuesday March 29th I took my very first shower with Mommy!! I was so excited! I love it!! Mommy & Daddy say I’m such a big boy now!
Monday April 4th I fell asleep in my high chair while we were at Arnold’s having pizza! Mommy & Jason weren’t helping because they kept laughing at me! They said it was so funny! And cute. I slept all the way home, too!
Friday April 15th I started batting my eyelashes at people! Daddy says it’s not very manly but Mommy thinks it is hilarious!
Saturday April 16th I turned 16 months old!! I am getting so big!
15 Months...
Sunday February 20th I started giving “five” and clapping!!
Monday February 21st I got to eat my very first peanut butter and jelly sandwich!! I loved it!!!
Thursday February 24th I climbed my very first ladder! Scared Mommy once again!
Thursday March 10th I took my very first road trip to the U.P. of MI with Mommy, Daddy, Uncle Andy and Uncle Adam. I had a great time! Mommy & Daddy said I did so well! I also learned how to climb steps! I love it!!
Saturday March 19th my 9th tooth pushed through!
Friday March 11th I learned how to stick my tongue out and raise my hands up over my head like “touchdown!” Mommy & Daddy just laugh and say; “Thanks, Uncle Andy.”
Wednesday March 16th I turned 15 months old. Can you believe it? Mommy & Daddy still can’t!
Thursday March 17th Mommy weighed me again this morning. I weigh 24 lbs. and am 30 inches tall.
14 Months...
Friday January 21st I said pointed to the light and said “light!”
Saturday January 22nd when Mommy & Daddy asked me if I was tired I grabbed my binkie and burp rag and went to my room! I stood by my bed until Mommy picked me up and put me in it! They were so proud! I was so tired!
Sunday January 23rd I discovered I could climb up on the couch!
Monday January 24th I discovered I could climb up on my rocker and rock myself!!
Friday February 11th my 8th tooth pushed through!
Sunday February 13th I had another accident. I fell off my airplane! Scraped my head pretty good. Scared the daylights out of Mommy & Daddy also!
Monday February 14th we had a nice Valentine’s Day at home together.
Tuesday February 15th I got to go outside and walk for the very first time!! I loved it! I was a little leery about walking on the stones at first! Mommy said I looked like I was testing the stones like they were water! Heehee! I don’t care what it looked like! I had a ball!
Wednesday February 16th I turned 14 months old! Time is really flying! Mommy keeps saying she wants to slow it down somehow. Mommy weighed me again this morning. She said I weighed 22 lbs. still. But that I now am 30 inches tall!
13 Months...
Friday December 31st/January 1st we brought the New Year in!! I even stayed up and celebrated also!
Wednesday January 5th my 7th tooth pushed through!!
Monday January 10th I started feeding myself with a spoon!
Friday January 14th I discovered I could stand myself up in the middle of the room!
Saturday January 15th Mommy weighed me. I weigh 22 lbs! I am 29-1/2 inches long!
Sunday January 16th I turned 13 months old! Wow! I still can’t believe it! I am growing so fast!
December 29th…
Hello everyone!
I couldn't wait for another month to go by to share this big news!!
Christmas Eve I started taking my first hesitant steps. Sunday December 26th I just decided to take off. I am walking everywhere! I was just so excited! I smile and run to Mommy to give her kisses all of the time! She says I'm her little handful but I know she wouldn't trade this for anything!
I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. Have a very safe and happy New Year!

12 Months...
Thursday December 23rd, 2004
I can hardly believe it! I am 1 year old already! Sorry, I’m running a little behind on my letter this month. Mommy weighed me this morning and I weigh 21 ½ pounds and I am 29 inches tall.
Thursday November 25th was my very first Thanksgiving. Mommy, Daddy & I enjoyed the morning together at home. It was very nice just to relax with the three of us. We went to Grandma & Grandpa Hill’s for a great big lunch. We had a great day. Mommy & Daddy said they were especially thankful for me this year!
Monday November 29th my fifth tooth finally pushed through!
I still haven’t decided that I want to walk independently yet. I’ll walk back and forth from things. I’ll even walk from the couch to my beanbag and jump in it! I just am not courageous enough to do it all of the time. Mommy & Daddy counted steps one night when I was walking from one to the other and they counted to 12. Boy, do I have them fooled! It’s wintertime; there’s no hurry for me to walk until the springtime, when I can run outside! Besides, Mommy keeps telling me that as soon as I can walk on my own she wants to introduce something called a potty chair.
Thursday December 16th was my very first birthday! Since Daddy had to work we stayed home that night and enjoyed it together as a family.
Saturday December 18th Mommy & Daddy threw me a birthday party. I wasn’t sure what was going on really but Mommy & Daddy said that I was very good. I’m sorry that I couldn’t invite everyone that I know (or everyone that knows me) but Mommy & Daddy said that since we are still in our little “barn house” that there was only enough room to invite my Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Mommy & Daddy said next year when we are in our new house that we will have enough room and I can have a HUGE party and invite everyone!
Wednesday December 22nd my sixth tooth finally popped through! Whew! Another stubborn one!

11 Months...
Tuesday November 16th, 2004
Can you believe that yet another month has gone by or that I’m 11 months old now? I weigh 20 ½ pounds and am 30 inches long now also!
Monday October 18th my third tooth finally pushed through!
Wednesday October 20th I started doing chin-ups off of the table!
Friday October 22nd I discovered that I could climb out of bed… and fall! It about gave both Mommy & me a heart attack! I didn’t break or hurt anything except my pride.
Saturday October 23rd I took 7 steps to Mommy! I was so busy playing with my Tonka truck that I just took off!
Monday October 25th I discovered that I could stand up and body slam Mommy!
Tuesday October 26th I discovered that I could pick up my sippy cup and drink myself!
October 31st was my very first Halloween. I was Pooh bear! I even went trick or treating! Okay, only to a couple houses but it’s not like I need candy…Yet!
Friday November 12th I discovered that if I got behind my walker that I could walk around the house by pushing it!
Monday November 15th my fourth tooth finally made it’s appearance. Number 5 & 6 haven’t officially made it yet. They are right at the surface though.
I’m still not being courageous enough to just take off and walk. I’ll walk beside Mommy if she holds onto my hand. I’ll take 7 or 8 steps by myself but that’s it so far.
Mommy took a picture of me this month typing up my letter for everyone. Aren’t I so cute? There are a couple pictures also that I just couldn’t resist sharing, too.

10 Months...

Hello all! I hope this finds everyone well.
…And yet another month has gone by…
Mommy says she wants to put a brick on my head and slow my growing down a little! I’m 10 months old now! Yeah! I weigh 21 pounds and we think that I’m 29” tall!
Tuesday September 28th I discovered that I could sit up all by myself! Mommy & Daddy were so proud!
Monday October 4th I discovered that I could flush the toilet! I think that is the best “toy” in the bathroom! The toilet paper roll is the second. Poor Mommy thought she could take a shower and that I’d play quietly with my toys. I sure did, she got out to toilet paper everywhere! I thought it was great fun! I just giggled and giggled!
I’m still trying to push some more teeth through. My third tooth is just now pushing through and we think four, five and six aren’t far off!
Mommy & Daddy tell me I’m a very strong boy! One of my favorite things to do right now is crawl over to my high chair and do chin-ups on it!
I’m still not courageous enough to walk on my own yet but I’m working on it. I have the “cruising” down pact and I’ll free stand but I haven’t taken more than a few step before I lose the nerve. Mommy keeps telling me that practice makes perfect so I’m off to practice some more!

Can you believe that yet another month has gone by? I have some more exciting news to share this month, too.
Monday August 23rd I didn’t feel very well! I was running a very high fever and all I wanted to do was sleep and snuggle with Mommy. Tuesday August 24th I pushed my very first two teeth into the world! They are beautiful! Mommy and Daddy laugh because I keep running my tongue over them because they feel so funny in my mouth! I love to have my teeth brushed!
Sunday August 29th I discovered drawers! And, unfortunately, that they can bite! I’ve gotten my fingers caught on more than one occasion!
Monday August 30th I discovered that I could pull myself to my knees in my bed! Scared Mommy to death, but I was so proud!
Friday September 3rd I discovered that I could stand up in my bed! And fall! I have a bump on my forehead to prove it! Luckily I only fell inside my bed. Nevertheless, Mommy and Daddy turned my bed around “just in case”.
Saturday September 4th discovered that I could pull myself to my feet all the time now! I’ve also discovered that there are a lot more rooms to discover than just the couple that I’m used to. I’m doing my best to keep Mommy on her toes! I’ve practiced taking a few steps towards Mommy & Daddy but I think it’s much more fun to dive at them! I just giggle and giggle!
Monday September 6th we spent my first Labor Day with Grandma & Grandpa Hill, Aunt Tracey, Uncle Steve & Aunt Patti, Tyler, Ryan, Uncle Kevin, Aunt Tara & Joey. They took all kinds of pictures of me checking things out!
Thursday September 9th Mommy & Daddy shared their 4th Anniversary together. We all had a special dinner and evening together alone at home.
September 14th Mommy & I played ball! We just kept rolling it back and forth to each other. I wasn’t so sure about it the first time I did it because Mommy pushed it right back at me!
September 16th makes me officially nine months old now! I’m such a big boy! Mommy weighed me this morning and I weigh 21 pounds! I am also 28 ½ inches tall! Mommy isn’t sure about this one though. I was more interested in trying to get the yardstick to my mouth instead of being measured! I am starting to wave bye-bye also. Mommy has been working on blowing kisses with me but I just think she’s being funny!

8 Months...
Monday August 16th, 2004
Mommy weighed me this morning after my bath and I weigh 21 pounds! She thought she was going to measure me but I gave her a run for her money on that one! She thinks I am 28 ½ long. I didn’t want to hold still long enough for her to do it!
Friday July 23rd I decided I wasn’t keeping Mommy on her toes enough. I discovered I could un-Velcro my diapers! Mommy has to be fast or off comes the diapers!
Saturday July 24th Mommy laid toys along the couch and I started walking along it and throwing my toys off of it!
Friday July 30th I hit a great milestone (according to Daddy.) I say Dada! I definitely know who my Dada is, as soon as Daddy walks in the door at night I smile and throw my arms out and say Dada. Mommy has decided that it’s okay for me to call for Daddy now, too. Especially in the middle of the night! If I say Mom and she doesn’t answer soon enough, then I change it to Dada.
Thursday August 5th I discovered that I could stick out my tongue and Thhhppppttt everyone! I soaked Mommy good a couple of times!
Saturday August 14th I discovered I had body parts hidden by my diaper! (Mommy & Daddy told me not to go into detail, but that I could tell everyone about my discovery.)
I really love to hold onto Mommy and Daddy’s hands and walk now! We buzz all over the house. I’m not confident enough on my own to do it just yet though. I want so bad to move! The army crawl is fine, but we can go so much faster on feet! Mommy keeps telling me “No!” when I start getting in to things now too, don’t tell her, but the fun is just beginning!

Tuesday July 20th, 2004
Another month… Can you believe it? I’m seven months old already!!
Sunday June 20th was Daddy’s very first Father’s Day!
Saturday July 3rd was my very first time seeing fireworks! We went with Jason, Annette, Trae & Hailey to watch the Garrett fireworks, it rained but I still could watch them from inside the truck. I kept trying to climb out of Mommy’s arms to see them better!
Sunday July 4th was Daddy’s birthday! They had cake and everything but wouldn’t share with me!
Monday July 5th was my very first four-wheeler ride with Mommy & Daddy. I think they were more excited than me. I just thought “big deal, so we’re riding around on this big contraption instead of me being in my stroller or in one of your arms!” Mommy & Daddy kept telling me to just wait some day I wouldn’t be able to get enough of it!
Thursday July 8th Mommy & I were sitting on the floor watching television and I grabbed Mommy’s shirt and stood myself up!
Friday July 9th I fed myself real green beans! Mommy wasn’t getting them to me soon enough so I picked them up and fed myself!!
Saturday July 10th I had my very first tractor ride with Daddy! I thought that was pretty neat. I just kept staring at the tractor! Mommy & Daddy thought it was great and Mommy kept taking our picture! I also discovered that I could get up on my elbows and knees and scoot myself around! Most of the time I get so excited that I’m moving that I end up going backwards instead! Mommy says to just keep trying because before I know it I’ll be all over the place! I can’t wait!
Mommy weighed me this morning after my bath and I still weigh 20 pounds! I am 28 inches long! I’m trying to hurry up and grow so I can play outside! Every time we go outside I wiggle and wiggle until Mommy lets me touch and feel the grass, stones, dirt, etc. I can’t wait to get my toys out there and get all dirty!

Wednesday June 16th, 2004
It’s hard to believe that yet another month has flown by!! I’ve had a few more firsts also.
Friday May 21st I found my toes! I also tried real green beans for the very first time! I did really well with them also. I thought it was fun to mash them up.
Saturday May 29th I got to experience my first bonfire also! It was pretty exciting, so much so that Mommy had to take me inside and put me to bed shortly afterwards!
Tuesday June 1st I got to try real Macaroni & Cheese! I thought it was great! I just kept smiling and babbling to Mommy the whole time she tried to feed me.
Thursday June 3rd I decided it was time to start moving all over the place. I’ve been scooting backwards on my back but I discovered that I could roll and get places. Every time Mommy would put me down I flipped right over to my tummy.
Friday June 4th I kept staring at Mommy eating her lunch until she finally gave in and let me try real carrots and potatoes! I also learned how to drink from a cup! I do pretty well at it until I get too excited and try to grab the cup from Mommy. I soaked myself a couple times doing that!
Saturday June 12th I discovered that I could put my toes in my mouth! Mommy kept laughing at me when I started sucking on them instead of my thumb or my pacifier!
Mommy weighed me this morning after my bath and I weigh 20 pounds! I am 27 inches long also! Can you believe it? Mommy and Daddy say that I am such a cute little man!

5 Months...
Thursday May 20th, 2004
Sunday May 2nd I was baptized. It was a very big day for me. Lots of people came and showed their support. I did pretty well, but I didn’t necessarily like the cold water being poured on my head! Afterwards everyone came out to the house and visited with me. It was a great time!
Monday May 3rd I started fake coughing. Mommy thought I had picked up a cold or something until I started laughing at her. I also started sticking my tongue out around my pacifier. Daddy says it looks like I’m dangling a cigar out of the side of my mouth when I stick my tongue out. They say it’s just the cutest!
Sunday May 9th was Mommy’s very first Mother’s Day.
Monday May 10th I rolled from my belly to my back for the very first time! Mommy and Grandma Karst were there and got to see me do it for the first time!
Mommy weighed me this morning and I weigh 17 pounds! I am 27 ½ inches long! I am such a big boy now! Mommy & Daddy say they can’t wait to take me for my first 4-wheeler ride!

Can you believe another month has gone by?
Wednesday March 17th was my very first Saint Patrick’s Day. Mommy dressed me in green and everything. We gave Daddy a hard time because he wasn’t wearing any green, just his browns. I wasn’t very sure about what was going on though. That night I must have been really worn out because I slept from 8:00 P.M. all the way to 5:30 A.M.!! Mommy keeps telling me she wishes I’d do that more often.
Thursday March 25th I sat unassisted for Mommy! She counted to 10 before I decided that I was tired. Mommy was so excited! I just giggled at her when I started to fall over.
Monday March 29th Mommy gave me cereal for the very first time! I wasn’t too thrilled with it! Mommy said she couldn’t blame me, have you ever tried it? Yuck! Things have gone a lot smoother since Mommy introduced first peaches and now green beans to me!
Wednesday April 7th I got my 4 months shots. Mommy said I was very brave but after they stuck me the second time I just screamed and screamed. And then they stuck me two more times!! At least Mommy knew to give me Tylenol beforehand. I just wanted to sleep and cuddle with Mommy after that.
Sunday April 11th was my very first Easter! It was so exciting! Mommy and Daddy even had an Easter basket made up for me. Decked out with jellybeans, a chocolate bunny, real colored eggs and toys. Okay, so Mommy won’t let me have the candy or the eggs but I did get a really neat my first collectible 20 piece John Deere play set! It has a truck, tractor, windmill, fences and some animals in it. I can’t wait until I’m a little bigger and can play with it!
Saturday April 17th I had another first! I snuggle! Mommy was so thrilled!
Monday April 19th I went back to the Doctor. I’ve had what we thought was a cold in my eye for almost a month that just won’t go away. Mommy decided we better just go to the Doctor to make sure that it’s nothing too serious. We found out that I might have a closed tear duct. Mommy has to massage it for me a couple times a day. The Doctor thinks it should correct itself though. I weigh 16 pounds 11 ounces and I’m 25 ½ inches long. My head measures 17”. Mommy says I’m getting so big!

Thursday February 19th I went back to the Doctor. I weigh 13 pounds 1-¾ ounces. I’m 23 ¾ inches long and my head measures 16 inches. I also took my very first road trip! We went down to visit Grandma & Grandpa Karst for a few days in Kentucky. They drove me all over trying to show me the sights but I just wanted to sleep instead. Friday February 20th I got my first cold. (Daddy feels really badly about it because he had it first.) I also got to meet my Great-Grandma & Great-Grandpa Pankop while we were down there. I wasn’t feeling like playing too much though with this cold. I just wanted to be snuggled by Mommy and Daddy.
Friday February 27th I started another first. I’m blowing bubbles! Mommy and Daddy think that it’s great! I think it’s great that I’m drooling all over them!
Monday March 8th Mommy got the flu. I tried to be very good for her but by the second day of it I just wanted to be cuddled. Mommy thinks that I might have gotten a touch of it from her also but everyone is feeling back to normal again.
Saturday March 13th I amazed Mommy yet again. I started scooting backwards on my back!
It’s hard to believe that yet another month has gone by! I am three months old now. Mommy weighed me this morning after my bath and I weigh 15 pounds! Mommy tried real hard to see how tall I’ve gotten but I just wanted to play. She thinks I’m 24 inches long. I don’t have to go back to the Doctor until next month.

(Mommy’s Birthday)
Pretty scary! I turned 2 months old yesterday. I love to eat, as you can probably tell. I am almost 14 pounds! (I'm trying to hurry and grow so I can play with Mommy & Daddy outside this Spring!) I'm about 22" long. (I go back to the Doctor on Thursday February 19th to see exactly how tall I am.) I got my 2 month shots on Wednesday February 11th. I didn't care for them too much. Mommy thought I was pretty brave. But when Mommy tried to pick me back up, I sure let her know that it hurt when she bumped my ouchy!! I couldn't sleep very well for a few days. I got Mommy up every 1 - 2 hours to remind me that she loved me.
Saturday February 14th was our first Valentine’s Day together. Daddy took Mommy and I out for Chinese. I slept the whole time!
I keep trying to trick Mommy, too. Somedays I'll sleep from 7 - 7:30 P.M. all the way til 3 - 3:30 A.M. Other days I don't want to go to bed til 10 - 10:30 and I'm back up at 2 - 2:30. I usually sleep til almost 6 when Daddy gets up.
I'm really loving having Mommy home with me, too. Pretty soon she might have to go back to work though. Mommy says I might be going to my very first baby-sitter soon. (I don't know what that means, but Mommy seems kind of nervous about it.)
I've started clicking my tongue at Mommy and Daddy. I like talking to them too. They think it's great! They really like it when I smile and laugh at them, too.

Wow! I turned 1 month old on Friday.
It’s been a big month for me. A month full of firsts. We had our very first outing on Sunday December 21st; we went to The Hill Christmas get together. I met so many new relatives! Everyone wanted to hold me too. I spent a lot of time being cuddled by my Great-Grandma Hill. Everyone was amazed that I could sleep through all the noise!
December 22nd I went back to the Doctor. I weigh 10 pounds 9-¼ ounces. I’m 21 inches long. And my head measures 15 ¼ inches. Another first for me, I got my picture taken for the very first time at the Picture People with my cousins, Tyler, Ryan and Joey that night. I didn’t like all the noise very much. It was too much excitement for me at only 6 days old! I cried for my Mommy and Daddy to get me out of there! We went out to eat for the first time while waiting for the pictures to be developed. Then we went back to pick the pictures up. When Mommy was looking at the pictures I decided I had enough excitement for one day and cried until Mommy and Daddy took me home!
December 25th was my very first Christmas with my Mommy and Daddy. We had a very relaxing morning with just the three of us. We went and spent the afternoon with my Grandma and Grandpa Hill, Uncle Kevin, Aunt Tara, Cousin Joey, Uncle Steve, Aunt Patti, Cousin Tyler, Cousin Ryan and Aunt Tracey.
December 31st was my very first New Years Eve! We went to Grandpa Archie and Grandma Mary’s house. I decided to give Mommy and Daddy a break and let them enjoy their evening. We all had a good time.
January 1st I met a lot more of my new relatives. We went to see Grandma and Grandpa Karst and all my Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. I let Mommy and Daddy enjoy their day again and decided just to sleep for them while we were there. Everyone keeps saying how amazing it is that I can sleep through all the noise.
On Saturday January 10th, Mommy had her friend Carrie over and I gave them all a big thrill when I giggled for the first time. You should have seen how excited everyone got!
Tuesday January 13th, I found my thumb for the very first time!

The Big News...

We just had our ultrasound on Friday and wanted to share our news with the world!
We are enclosing a couple of pictures of the newest member of our little family.
In the first picture, you can see our little bundle of joy looking right at you. In the direct center of the picture is the little face and diagonally from that is the heart and stomach.
In the second picture, this is a side profile. The head is on the left side. The baby is laying on its back. You can see both arms.
In the third picture, you are looking at the babies lower torso with an arm to the left and the babies legs are crossed at the knee. (Just like the father always sits!)
Oh, by the way, for those who can't make it out in these pictures. Our newest member will be a little boy. His name is to be Zachary David. He is expected to arrive on December 12th. Just in time for Christmas. We could not be prouder!
